Dino-World!

We went to dinosaur world with some friends recently...

A big woodsy place filled with life-sized dinos!
Raaawr!!
It was a beautiful day and the kids really seemed to enjoy running the paths.
Checking out the huge sculptures and stopping along the way to do things like hunt for fossils and do some digging...
I can't believe as long as I've lived near this place, and driven by, I had never been!
feeding the fish :)

Rub-A-Dub-Dub

Two naked babies in the tub!

Too cute... I just couldn't resist :)

Like Father, Like Daughter

So, I was getting ready to go to an art show with a friend the other night. The dads were staying home with our girls for the evening. I had my camera, and decided to take a quick picture with my two favorite people before leaving.

First, went up to hubby, held the camera in his face with a "smile!"
This is the look I got from him.
Figures.

My sweet daughter would give me a cute picture, I was sure!
She knew nothing about her dad making silly faces in the next room.
So, I went up to her with the camera and the same "smile!" and what does she do??

Yep.
Just like her daddy!

Birthday Party Fun

We went to our friend, Olivia's, 2nd birthday party a couple of weeks ago.

Balloons are so much fun (until they fly away, that is!)
Luckily, we had these ones on securely
(unlike the one that flew away in the Publix parking lot - that made us go back into the store, and in line again to get a new one for the distraught little girl)
Lots of good food - and cake of course!
I planned ahead and brought a wheat-free cupcake I had made for K.
I wonder how long I'll be able to do these "switches" without her noticing...
Everyone loved the bounce house - especially the big boys!

Sushi Lunch Date

K & I met Auntie T for lunch the other day.
We went for sushi, so I had to dress her in her "sushi shirt" I made her, of course :)

K had fun trying all the new foods.
She spend a long time opening up edamame to eat.
The birds made out of carrots were fun too!
I need to start making our meals at home look more fun & appetizing!

My Little Artist

We've been painting more often lately. It's the one crafty thing that's fast to set up & easy to clean up. Especially the watercolors. K still doesn't have a very long attention span, so I get a bit disappointed when I spend forever setting up/cleaning up a project, and she only spends 5 mins working on it....

Like the birthday cards we've made recently. I got out paper, coloring stuff, scissors, stickers, glue, glitter, etc. And then I tried to leave the room. Glitter everywhere. Still cleaning it up!

I think I'm going to start an "oops" file of photos.
I need to remember to take pics when I discover these fun messes :)

Here's a pic of K painting at a friend's house:
And these are her working on some masterpieces at home.
