The Man in the Big Red Suit

We went to our local Farmer's Market on Wed to pick up some goodies.

We were pleasantly suprised by some live music, samples of yummy fresh produce, and SANTA!

I don't think K realized that santa is an actual "person"... she'd only seen pictures of him, stuffed toys, etc. So, when she saw him at a distance, she seemed excited but suprised.

We walked over toward the very large man standing there in red. My outgoing girl suddenly became shy! I held her while she burried her head in my neck, peeking out occassionally.

Santa tried speaking to her. Nothing.

Then... he pulled a tangerine out of his pocket and handed it to her! That did it! She looked at him now, thinking he must not be so bad after all...

She certainly wasn't ready to sit on his lap, but she was thrilled to go check out Santa's tractor with him and have her picture taken.

Such a cool santa...
