Dairy Farm

We've all been sick here the last couple of days, and decided we needed to get out of the house. It was a beautiful day outside. A month ago, I would have told you 66 degrees was a bit chilly, but after the temperatures this past week, it was lovely!!

We decided to visit a local dairy farm that I've been wanting to check out. It was perfect. We met the farmer, and the cows, and the chickens, goats, turkey & dog. We purchased some fresh milk & butter from happy, healthy, pastured cows. They were out of eggs today, but we'll definitely get some next time. It's so nice to see where your food comes from!
There were a lot of gorgeous breeds of chickens, though this lady isn't too exciting...
This calf was so sweet and playful. It made me want to get a cow!

Kalina had a great time seeing all the animals.
I think we need to get some chickens of our own ;)
(BTW, You can find your own fresh milk and other great resources here)
